Welcome to Nova Netball Club for the 2021 season.
This will be our 12th season with the Newcastle Netball Association and the club continues its commitment to making netball an enjoyable experience for all our players and supporters.
While being one of the largest clubs in Newcastle we believe we have stayed loyal to our values
Our motto is “Stars shining brighter” which basically means we want every player to be the best that they can be.
Below is some information for the forthcoming season:
This year you will again be able to register directly online. We encourage everyone to do this
If you have registered with us previously you would have an email inviting you to register on line.We have prepared an online registration form accepting online payment via credit card. If you do not receive an email it may because your last registered email address was incorrect or we do not have an email address on file. If this is the case please contact the Registrar via email at email@example.com.
To pay via bank deposit or cash please also contact the registrar.
All you need to do is complete the form and make payment into the account. We would like to give first priority to current players for next year. By re registering it will provide us with the approximate numbers required for each team. This will determine if we need to recruit more players or unfortunately turn away interested new players. If you are not playing again next season could you please also let us know.
If you have re registered as above you will not need to attend registration day. However, if you would like to register on the day you are more than welcome.
Registration day will be advised and may depend on Covid restrictions
This is also the opportunity to try on and order uniforms

Our policy with grading is to be a fair and transparent. The following steps will be adhered to:
- Contact all players to see if they want to be graded or not.
- If the majority of players wish to be graded then a grading day will be assigned
- Coaches from the previous season will complete a grading form for all of their players to be used as a grading tool.
- On the grading day players will complete a form indicating their preferred positions and if they have any special requests.
- Independent selectors will assess the player’s skill level during a grading session and grade accordingly. Players will be graded on current skill levels not potential.
- Teams will be posted on the website.
- If a player is unhappy with their grading they will have the right to appeal. The appeal will be heard by an independent committee and their decision will be final.

Coaches will be appointed for each team and they will contact all players regarding their training times. Training will be at the Newcastle Netball Courts unless otherwise organised.
Our aim is for an experienced coach to be appointed to each team so that the players will have the best possible opportunity of improving their skill levels.
We are always looking at ways of improving our level of coaching and this year we may appoint a coaching committee and a coaching forum.
Each team should have at least one manager to take some of the pressure of the coach. Managers will be responsible for communicating to their fellow team members about canteen rosters etc.
