Hi everyone, sorry for the delay in the reports but please find the combined reports and highlights for Rounds 4 & 5. I hope all the mothers had a wonderful day and were spoilt by your by their children.
Also, excellent news. The Mary Ellen Hotel is again going to sponsor our club this year.
The Mary Ellen has been very good to us since the club started and this year we are planning to have a few social gatherings there to get to know all our club members and to thank them for their support. See below for the first 5 winners of the season. They will each receive a $50 meal voucher.
Thank you to everyone who helped out in the canteen on Saturday, we only have one more duty for the year which will be on the 16th June.
ROUND 4
Now to netball, in, the highlight of the week was the continued undefeated performances of our Rockets, Shooting Stars, Beauties, Pulsars and Nova 4 teams. These teams are absolutely firing. Overall we had 6 winners and 5 losses.
Another major highlight was the Nova Electrons scoring their first win of the careers through a match winning goal by Bridget Hobden to take out a cliff hanger 1-0 !!!!
Another record was set this week when Avalon Cooper scored 17 goals for the undefeated Nova Beauties.
ROUND 5
Overall we had 6 wins, 4 losses and 1 draw.
Fantastic sustained form by the Rockets, Shooting Stars, Beauties, Pulsars(albeit by forfeit) and Nova 4’s who all remain undefeated. Can they become the Black Caviars of netball !! The Nova Neutrons also won this week and the Electrons had a very entertaining 2-2 draw. With Shany Eiddels scoring 2 magnificent goals.
Clare Hobden broke her own record in the 13’s with 21 goals in a match and Molly Clifford broke the season record in the 10’s (already) with 31 goals so far for the year.
Good luck to all teams this weekend.

Great effort from Kadisha, playing her first game for our club. Not only did she fit right in with all the team she played a brilliant starring role.

Pheobe showed excellent team spirit and was happy to play in many positions and give her best all the time. She is rewarded for putting the team above herself
ROUND 3
KIANI DENHAM
Kiani starred in both attack and defence and showed she is improving all the time and becoming a key player in her team
ROUND 4
LILLY CLIFFORD
Lilly wins the award for playing her best game of the season. She always plays in an enthusiastic manner and has a fantastic attitude to her team and the opposition.
ROUND 5
AMY YOUNG/SONYA BRYDON/CLARE DALEY
A three way tie this week, so hopefully the girls will use it together. Amy, Sonya and Clare contributed beyond the call of duty on Saturday. They coached the Bright Sparks in the morning, jumped into the canteen after that, two of them umpired and then they played for the Nova 4’s in the afternoon. Great club effort.
